Exploring the Artifacts of America’s Pastime

This series began as an assignment for ESPN Magazine and went on to receive a Communication Arts Photo Annual award. Even as someone who isn't a devoted baseball fan, I was immediately drawn to the scope, character, and history embedded in each object—each one a small piece of pure Americana.

Photographed using the same controlled, dramatic lighting approach developed for The FIN Project, these centered compositions invite viewers to compare form, texture, and craftsmanship across generations of the sport’s evolution.
